The manual

Apply, remove, repeat

Ten minutes of careful application buys you up to two weeks of wear — and a set you can use again. Here's exactly how.

Part one

Applying your set

  1. 1

    Prep your nails

Push back your cuticles with the cuticle stick and lightly buff the surface of each natural nail. This is the single biggest factor in how long your set lasts.

  2. 2

    Cleanse & dry

Wipe every nail with the prep pad (or rubbing alcohol) and let it dry completely. Skip hand cream — oil is the enemy of adhesive.

  3. 3

    Size each finger

Lay out your ten nails in finger order before you start. Between two sizes? Size up and file the sides down for a seamless fit.

  4. 4

    Glue or tab

For up to two weeks of wear: a thin layer of glue on both the press-on and your nail. For a night out you want to undo tomorrow: an adhesive tab.

  5. 5

    Press & hold

Apply at a 45° angle from your cuticle, lower it down, and press firmly for 30 seconds — centre, sides, tip. Avoid water for the next hour.

Part two

Removing without damage

  1. 1

    Soak

Fill a bowl with warm, soapy water and soak your fingertips for 10–15 minutes. A drop of oil in the water speeds things along.

  2. 2

    Lift gently

Once the adhesive softens, ease the cuticle stick under the side edges and gently rock. Never force or pry a nail that isn’t ready.

  3. 3

    Clean up

Roll any leftover adhesive off your natural nail with your thumb, then buff lightly. Your nails stay healthy and undamaged.

  4. 4

    Store for next time

Peel old adhesive off the press-ons, pop them back in their box, and they’re ready for their next wear.

Make it last

  • Wear gloves for dishes and cleaning — heat and detergent shorten wear time.
  • Use the pads of your fingers, not your tips, for typing, opening cans and tabs.
  • Add a thin coat of clear top coat every few days to refresh the shine.
  • If an edge lifts, dry the nail and add a tiny drop of glue — don’t wait for it to snag.
